Food parcels sent to the UK during WWII

From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 2:28 pm on 24 October 2012

A few weeks ago we spoke to Roger Button, originally from Norwich in England, about the kindness New Zealand children showed him 60 years ago that has not been forgotten. When Roger was just 8 years old, hope arrived in the form of a parcel filled with tins of fruit and meat, sent by school children in Invercargill. We put Roger in touch with Ross Harrison, who was a schoolboy in Dipton and remembers sending those parcels to England.
