Viral mugshot

Daniel Joseph Tohill, apparently a fur necklet thief, cut a dashing figure in 1908: young, handsome and sporting a perfectly groomed mustache. A mugshot that's more than 100 years old has stolen the hearts of admirers around the world. The image, which originally appeared in a New Zealand Police Museum exhibition called "Suspicious Looking", was picked up by a social website where he was labelled a "Ridiculously photogenic 19th century NZ criminal" and gone viral.
