Topics - Do employers prefer beauty over brains in job interviews? Discrimination cases logged in Australia suggest "lookism", where workers are judged on appearance, is a real thing. In the past five years, over 200 people have lodged discrimination claims based on grounds varying from weight, to hairstyle, piercings, tattoos and even body odour. We've had many conversations on The Panel now about regional devlopment in NZ, or the lack of it, and outrage was expressed - as we said - on the front page of the Otago Daily Times at the weekend - stand up Otago - in the wake of the Invermay Ag Centre job losses.
