Your Place - Dunsandel

We're on the Canterbury Plains, at a junction where the main north - south highway meets the road to Leeston and Southbridge; and there's another that heads inland to Hororata. It's a busy refreshment stop located almost halfway between Christchurch and Ashburton, but its principal function is as a support town for the rural hinterland. Dairy & Sheep farming, and cropping are the main land uses here, and this small village has a surprisingly large amount of industry given its small population base of around 450.
