It's a purler of an idea for blokes, get together on a Thursday night and do something besides play cards or watch sport. Mike Dickison is starting a knitting group for men. He calls it the League of Knitting Gentlemen and they meet for the first time in a cafe in Upper Riccarton in Christchurch tonight. Mike's done this with success before - he started a group in Petone a few months ago with sold out sessions. The men learn to make hats, scarves, gloves, even iPhone socks.
