Lion King part for Nick Afoa

From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 2:11 pm on 8 October 2013

Nick Afoa hasn't acted since he had a part in his school play 10 years ago and now the 27-year-old has landed the lead role in Australia's rendition of The Lion King musical, which opens in December. Nick - who you may recall singing the national anthem ahead of All Black test matches in recent years - will play the part of Simba, the lion cub who follows a tortured path to eventually avenge his father's death and take his place as king of Africa's pride lands.
