Your Place - Linkwater
The Marlborough Sounds - the sea-drowned valleys that were the prows of a sunken waka, or the product of land subsidence and rising sea levels after the last ice age. Not all valleys in the area sank. There's a six kilometre stretch of flat land, barely 15 metres above high tide, that links Pelorus Sound to the west with Queen Charlotte Sound to the east.
