If reducing the opening hours of bars is a "sure-fire" way to reduce alcohol-related harm, does anyone know why we're not doing it? Do the government's proposed changes to the drink-drive limit go far enough? A scheme in which young people are given bus-pass-style cards entitling them to free packets of condoms has been piloted in Hawke's Bay, and could be picked up nationwide.
