Cutting your grocery spending

Food is our biggest expense after putting a roof over our heads, but it doesn't have to be that painful according to Kaitaia dairy farmer Lyn Webster. Six years ago the family farm was facing bankruptcy, so Lyn decided she needed to slash the food budget. She's gone from spending hundreds to about $35 a week. Living on a farm, she knows she can keep costs down in ways city dwellers can't, but she says significantly reducing your food bill is not rocket science.
