Our Changing World - toxic algal blooms

Since 2005, 13 dogs have died from eating toxic algae in the Hutt River. Greater Wellington already carries out regular monitoring and issues warnings if necessary, but Mark Heath at Victoria University thinks it might also be possible to monitor the size of algal blooms from the air - and Alison Ballance joins him as he begins trials with a small UAV to see if the idea can work in practice.
