World War One paybook discovered

From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 2:10 pm on 5 February 2014

An unexpected discovery was made inside the old Reed Building in central Dunedin. It was Soldier John Preston's pay book from the First World War with careful notations of the two shillings and sixpence net daily rate for active service in the field. It has now been reunited with his 92-year-old daughter, Pat Hecker.
