Topics - Seven major Hollywood movie studios have filed a massive copyright infringement lawsuit against Megaupload and its founder Kim Dotcom. The film companies filed the legal action through the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) earlier today. Kim Dotcom is personally named in the indictment, which claims Megaupload and its key operators "facilitated, encouraged, and profited from massive copyright infringement of movies and television shows'' before it was shut down in 2012. Malaysia's Defence Minister says he is "cautiously hopeful" that teams searching for missing flight MH370 will be able to make a positive announcement in the next few days, "if not hours". Hishamuddin Hussein made a statement to reporters at a press conference following the detection of underwater 'pings' by ships searching the southern Indian Ocean.
