Today's feature albums offers up smooth and sultry R&B vibes from the 1970s. 'Hot on the Tracks' was the fourth album from the Amercian soul/funk band The Commodores. It was hailed as being the last record the group recorded before being a major cross-over act: from R&B to pop in the late 70s. The 1976 album reached number one on the R&B charts and number 12 on the pop charts.
