To warm us in Beale Street Caravan we have The Radiators who are one of New Orleans longest running bands blending rock, blues, R&B, fazz, and funk. They were recorded at last year's Jazz Fest.

Then back on the ocean wave on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise, this time Chicago harp man, Billy Branch. Inspired by harp masters Carey Bell, Big Walter Horton, and Junior Wells, he plays pure Chicago blues and now is a must have session harpist in Chicago.

Information

Beale Street Caravan features live performances drawn from concerts recorded in the US for The Blues Foundation who are based in Memphis Tennessee.

The styles vary from traditional acoustic Country Blues to the latest approaches by the new generation of performers, with gospel and Cajun along the way. Guest presenters host mini-series about Blues History and performers, and during New Zealand Music month Kiwi blues takes centre stage.
