About Checkpoint

Checkpoint is Radio New Zealand’s award-winning drive-time news programme.

Every weekday for 2 hours from 5pm Mary Wilson presents the day’s major national and international stories, as well as business, sport and Maori news.

Checkpoint is New Zealand's longest running news programme, airing for the first time in 1967.

It has evolved through the years from a current affairs show to become a hard-hitting news-focused programme with bulletins on the half hour and business and sports updates each hour.
