Jacinda Ardern has ruled out applying a capital gains tax and land tax to the family home, but would not rule out a land tax on additional residential sections.
Earlier today, Jacinda Ardern refused to rule out taxing people's residential sections, although she has always ruled out applying a capital gains tax to the family home itself.
Now she says while a tax working group could consider a land tax, the family home and the land that it sits on would be exempted.
She says even if the working group recommended a broad tax covering all land, that would not be taken up by a Labour government.
