In a little over a month, Auckland's Waterview tunnels earned the Government nearly $1 million through speeding fines.
Figures given to Checkpoint under the Official Information Act show nearly 10,000 fines were issued in the cameras' first 42 days - an average of more than 200 people caught speeding through the tunnels each day.
