The Kohanga Reo National Trust Board says its claim before the Waitangi Tribunal has resulted in whanau being pitted against family who work for government; Four South Taranaki iwi are opposing a water privatisation bill because of a lack of consultation with them by the South Taranaki District Council; The Maori Economic Development Panel Chairman, says attendance at the first of three public hui to discuss ways of improving the Maori economy, exceeded expectations; Judges of the Maori Excellence in Farming Award have decided on the three finalists in this year's competition; Meanwhile the Maori Trustee John Paki, who's on the management committee which runs the Ahuwhenua Trophy competition, says it's significant for all farmers not just those who are Maori.
