A research study about news coverage of tangata whenua, has found that mainstream news organisations rarely cover Maori topics, unless they're about violence and crime; Maori Television doesn't plan to broadcast full immersion Maori language programmes during prime time; A Parliamentary Select Committee considering the Customs and Excise Amendment Bill, has agreed to four Auckland based Maori health organisations making a combined submission via a tele-conference call, rathering than presenting their separate submissions in person in Wellington.
