They're not "flip-flops", and they're not "thongs" either. And it seems that legally you can't call your quintessential summer footwear "jandals" either. One Hamilton retailer's found out the hard-way - he's received a cease and desist letter from lawyers, telling him the word "jandals" is trademarked.
