9-10 DoC warden Clive Rule's Routeburn Hut Christmas

For nearly quarter of a century DOC warden Clive Rule has been  organising several days of Christmas festivities at MacKenzie hut on the Routeburn track in Fiordland.

Set amongst snowcapped mountains, beautiful bush and the pristine waters of Lake MacKenzie its an idyllic place to celebrate with people from all over the world, and DOC workers  from nearby areas.

Catriona MacLeod spoke to Clive earlier in the week before he made his last walk into the hut before Christmas, and asked him how he gets all the food supplies in.
