Focus on Politics for 1 November 2013
The Labour Party is holding its annual conference in Christchurch over the weekend just seven weeks after David Cunliffe was elected leader. In the immediate aftermath of Mr Cunliffe's election Labour got a bounce in the polls but in the past week its support has settled back around the levels it achieved under its previous leader David Shearer. For Mr Cunliffe this weekend is an opportunity to pull the party together and ensure it is in the best shape possible to contest next year's election. Our political editor Brent Edwards spoke to Mr Cunliffe.
