Over the last couple of years, Kukupa Tirikatene has spent most of his time in Wellington as the the resident kaumatua of the Ngai Tahu exhibition at Te Papa museum. Ana Tapiata talks with him after he was honoured for his lifetime contribution to Maori arts and culture.
