Cementing elder involvement across the organisation is a major aim of the Kaumatua council at Te Wananga o Aotearoa, according to chairman, Te Rangipuawhe Maika. He tells Ana Tapiata that they want elders to be seen in the learning environment, are visible at graduation ceremonies and continue to pass on traditional knowledge.
