The 19th of September, last Sunday to be exact, was the 117th anniversary of Suffrage Day, when New Zealand women won the right to vote. Ana Tapiata talks with Tania Simpson from the Ministry of Womens Affairs who this year was determined to promote the role of Maori women in the suffrage movement of the late 1800s.
