Members' Day will feature two third readings followed by the first reading of Andrew Little's bill which is a retread of Phil Twyford's Healthy Homes Guarantee Bill that was pipped at the post at its first reading in March 2015. The combined opposition parties, including the Maori Party and United Future's Peter Dunne, now have the one-vote majority they need to send the bill to a select committee. Whether there will be time for a vote before the 10pm adjournment remains to be seen. Labour's Phil Goff welcomes the chance to raise the fears and concerns of the Auckland ethnic community directly with Police Minister, Judith Collins, in the annual review debate. Question Time features a dramatic clash between the Speaker, David Carter, and New Zealand First leader, Winston Peters, and his transport spokesman, Denis O'Rourke. And there were still more questions for the prime minister, John Key, about his lawyer and foreign investment trusts.
