The Greens oppose the motion, while New Zealand First leader Winston Peters claims the result was no surprise to him; The bill containing the government's controversial amendments to the Resource Management Act is sent back to the Local Government and Environment committee where it has already spent 11 months - with the Resource Legislation Amendment Bill the subject of questions to the Minister in charge of it, Nick Smith - who defends the Government's decision to send it back to committee; Civil Defence Emergency Management Amendment Bill passes final reading unopposed; Debate on the final reading of the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement Amendment Bill interrupted when the House adjourns for the week at 6pm.
