Is snoring just a noisy irritation or can it signal a serious health issue? (26′49″)
Snorers are often regarded as a long standing joke.
But it can hide a much more serious health condition: obstructive sleep apnoea that can be a killer.
Geoff Moffett has been finding out that up to a quarter of a million New Zealanders may have the condition and may be ignoring it.
This programme was first broadcast in April 2007.
Auckland Council and the Government are at a crucial point in their almost three year old relationship.
The council wants Government support for big projects such as the $2.4 billion, downtown rail tunnel, and new ways to fund $15 billion of transport projects.
So far the Government has been cool on both, and there's also tension over the implementation of the city's 30 year development blueprint, the Unitary Plan.
Radio New Zealand's Auckland Correspondent Todd Niall looks behind the photo-opportunity handshakes, at the state of the relationship between the country's two biggest political bodies.

The final slice of special government funding for bariatric, or weight loss, surgery will be paid out at the end of this year.
In this Insight documentary, first played last September, that won Best Documentary or Feature at this Year’s Radio Awards, Philippa Tolley asks what has been achieved with the $2m a year dedicated to stomach reducing operations since 2010 and can it be continued?
