Name of project: Owlet Nightjar

Real name: Tim Key

Age (of project): 1 year

Hometown: born and raised in Nelson, now based in Wellington

Associated acts: Newtown Rocksteady, Merlin Webster / The Merlin Webster Experience

Musical guilty pleasure: Playing wailing bluesy guitar solos over pretty much anything! Probably why I got kicked out of a super mellow folk trio I used to play with!

Formative musical experience: My parents met to the Jimi Hendrix (Band of Gypsys) song 'Them Changes' being covered by kiwi band Ticket at a dance in Christchurch! That's about as 'formative' as it gets, right?!
