Jazz Footprints this week features saxophonist Roger Manins. For over a decade he lived in Australia where he studied, recorded and toured with the likes of Mike Nock and Bernie McGann. Since his return to New Zealand in 2004 and making Auckland his base, he has continued to regularly perform in Australia. He helped set up - and is Artistic Director of - the Creative Jazz Club Aotearoa which hosts weekly music performances. He also teaches at Auckland University and is a recent recipient of the Jazz Journalist Associations ‘Jazz Hero Award.’
