Original photo: 1. Split on the halfway line - photo lacks the eye pleasing balance of a third split. 2. Clouds at right of picture "blown out" (too much light, and lack definition). Viewer's eye is drawn to all this white and it unbalances the colour balance of the picture. 3. The hills are hazy and a little dull. Photo by Steve Attwood

Corrected photo: 1. Horizon split is now one third sea/land two thirds sky 2. The definition of the cloud has been improved and the blown out white area reduced to show of the clouds and make the photo more balanced. 3. Definition and colour has been enhanced a very small amount to give the green hills a brighter contrast to the sea and sky. The photo is now closer to what we saw. Photo by Steve Attwood
