Classic Concert:

Patsy Cline - Live At The Cimarron Ballroom

Recorded in Tulsa, Oklahoma in July 1961, this concert performance captures Patsy Cline at a peak in her professional career having just had a cross over hits in both the pop and country charts with her song I Fall to Pieces. Just 15 days before this show she had been in a serious car crash and she talks candidly about that experience. Two years later, at age 30, she would die tragically in a plane crash.

'Matinee Idle is Radio New Zealand's Mufti Day. They let me and Simon "loose in the asylum". We get to be the guys testing the outer limits of listener patience and we benignly abuse this privilege.' says O'Brien. 'They let us play whatever we want! It's every radio presenter's dream.'
