Government not ruling out tax cuts despite $1B Kaikoura bill

Prime Minister John Key has signalled tax cuts are still on the table despite the estimated billions needed to deal with the damage caused by the Kaikoura earthquakes.

Some economists are casting doubt on whether tax cuts are now feasible.

But today in Lima, Peru, where Mr Key is attending the annual Apec meeting, he told reporters he's not ruling out tax cuts.
