Religious specialist says outspoken Auckland imam is no danger

A former associate professor at Victoria University, Jim Veitch, says the comments by a Muslim cleric in Auckland reflect a conservative Islam view. "We're tetchy because anything to do with Islam in New Zealand that would throw us into the conflict elsewhere grabs attention.... but I think we need to keep things in perspective."
