Testing of Eastern BOP shelfish shows high presence of e-coli

Dairy farms in the Waiotahe catchment near Whakatane are copping the blame for the presence of e-coli in shellfish from the nearby estuary. The testing reveals e-coli which is five times the allowed limit...but dairy farmers say there needs to be less finger pointing and more research.
