There's been an escalation in bellicosity between the US and North Korea and an expert on US-Korea relations says the real test will come with the next big North Korea provocation.

In the latest actions North Korea has conducted a major live fire military exercise to mark the anniversary of its armed forces.
At the same time, on the other side of the Korean Peninsula, South Korea's Navy was holding a joint exercise with American warships.
A US submarine has arrived in South Korea to join an incoming group of warships led by the aircraft carrier Carl Vinson and the US military is moving parts of a controversial anti-missile defense system into the country.
The nuclear threat from North Korea has also prompted US President Donald Trump to call for new international sanctions against "the rogue state."
Professor Sung-Yoon Lee, an expert on US-Korea relations at Tufts University in Massachusetts, told Morning Report how the US addresses the next provocation and how the Chinese respond "will be the real test."
