A Nelson-based World War 2 pilot who cheated death many times on wartime raids over Europe, has now been cheated out of a government-subsidised plaque for the headstone he says he'll eventually need. But as Tracy Neal found out he's not angry as much as bemused by what he sees as petty bureaucracy.
