How much accommodation supplement increase will help

Under the Government's boost to the accommodation supplement, the country's low income families will, on average, get an extra 36 dollars a week to help out with housing costs. It's the first time in a decade the supplement has been increased. But anti-poverty advocates say the government can't solve the housing problem by throwing more money at it.
