Aucklanders seeking better life in Northland find more poverty

'Auckland refugees' are heading north in search of cheaper rent, but are finding that rentals are hard to find and rents are going up. That's leading to overcrowding, and the problem of people sleeping in their cars or in tents is creeping northward. Budget adviser Kathy Tulloch says the number of food parcels people are seeking has doubled in the past six months.
