MPs apologise, quash historical convictions for gay sex

"It's unimagineable today that we would criminalise consensual, sexual activity between adults." And with those words, the Government righted a historical wrong and formally apologised to men who received convictions for having consensual gay sex. At the same time, the government has introduced a Bill that could quash many of the convictions received between 1965 and 1986.
