National and Labour made major transport policy announcements in Auckland on Sunday. The city's mayor Phil Goff told Morning Report both policies are very positive.
Regarding Labour's proposed Auckland fuel tax, Mr Goff said: "We're going to have to make a contribution. Yes I expect central government to play a bigger role, and I think they will, but we as Aucklanders have to contribute as well."
