'I thought we had an agreement' - James Shaw says protesting Green MPs must go

From Morning Report, 7:12 am on 8 August 2017

Green Party MPs Kennedy Graham and David Clendon have said they would quit if Metiria Turei remains as Greens co-leader, after news of her past benefit and electoral fraud.

"The way that they have chosen to go about this puts the Green Party at extreme risk at this point in an election campaign," co-leader James Shaw told Guyon Espiner.

"They didn't have to do it this way, there were more dignified ways for them to exit.

"Clearly he and David over the weekend had conversations with each other... I learned about that yesterday morning," he said.
