Two men who fled police in a stolen car on Saturday afternoon are still missing in Tongariro National Park. Inspector Kevin Taylor told Morning Report they will be likely hypothermic and there are fears for their safety.
They have found a campfire lit by the young men, but also two piles of clothing from them. "That doesn't give us a whole lot of comfort as it's consistent with them being hypothermic and disoriented," Inspector Taylor said.
