Politicans attend 'nerdiest housewarming party ever'

From Morning Report, 8:57 am on 23 August 2017

While some people desperately try to avoid talking politics in social settings, an Auckland couple have taken another approach.

One of the hosts was Clive Fernandes. He tells Morning Report everyone had a great time. Initially it was just a housewarming party, but they decided to give it an election theme.

He sent an email and was 'pleasantly surprised' at the response. National was the the only party to not send a representative, Mr Fernandes says.

They discussed fringe benefit tax until about midnight, when a neighbour made a noise complaint.
