Political parties are shifting into another gear with ten days now remaining before the general election.
The polls continue to show a volatile picture - the latest Newshub Reid Research poll last night put National a commanding 9.5 points ahead of Labour and possibly able to form a government on its own.
But RNZ's poll of polls has the two main parties neck and neck, with National less than one point in front.
