Cricket ODI in Napier cancelled, McLean Park not ready

From Morning Report, 8:50 am on 21 September 2017

A delay in re-turfing Napier's McLean Park has meant it's lost a cricket one-day international in February. It's not the first time McLean Park has lost matches - it was dropped five years ago from the test roster because of drainage issues. Napier City Council's chief executive Wayne Jack says it's very disappointing, but there have been factors beyond their control. The turf is grown in Auckland, where there has been a lot of rain, he says.
