Goff to vote 'do nothing' on Auckland Māori seat

A chance to create a Māori seat on the Auckland Council may be lost when it's put to a vote today, with the mayor Phil Goff preferring to do nothing.

The city's Independent Māori Statutory Board and a Māori academic say the time has come for dedicated Māori seats but councillors are worried about the small print.
