Time for a 'zero-based review' of all trade deals - Jane Kelsey

One of New Zealand's leading opponents to the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement is hoping the next Government will push the restart button on all trade talks and do them out in the open.

The National Party has been backing the TPP agreement but the other parties jostling for power have all expressed doubts about it. The United States withdrew from the TPP earlier this year, but the remaining 11 countries are keeping a watered down version of the agreement alive.

Professor Jane Kelsey tells us all New Zealand's trade deals should be looked at with a "zero-based review".
