Palmerston North locals evaluate Manawatu Gorge options

Palmerston North residents have been casting a critical eye over the four shortlisted roads to replace the Manawatu Gorge road. Each of the proposed alternative routes will take at least five years to finish, with the costs varying from 300 million dollars to more than half a billion. No clear favourite emerged, and some felt distinctly unimpressed by the infornation provided.
