Chinese, Indian-owned businesses dominate NZQA crackdown

Tertiary institutions owned by members of the Chinese and Indian communities are bearing the brunt of a Qualifications Authority crackdown. Five of the seven institutions that have lost their registration and all five that lost their right to teach courses since May last year are owned or part-owned by members of the Chinese or Indian communities. The institutions were breaking NZQA rules such as passing students who should have failed.
